Senior Sales Specialist

Objective:

As a senior sales professional, the objective will be to drive revenue and expand our customer base by effectively promoting and selling our marketing SaaS tools to potential clients. He/She will play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, and providing strategic guidance to our sales team, and conducting negotiations with potential customers to sign contracts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Proactively identify and pursue potential leads and prospects for our marketing SaaS tools. Utilize various channels, such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research, to generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads.
  2. Consultative Selling: Engage with prospective clients to understand their marketing needs and challenges. Conduct thorough needs assessments and effectively communicate how our SaaS tools can address their specific requirements.
  3. Product Presentations: Conduct presentations to showcase the features, benefits, and value proposition of our marketing SaaS tools. Effectively communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner, highlighting how our solutions can meet client needs.
  4. Negotiation and Closing: Lead contract negotiations and effectively close sales deals. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure contractual agreements are aligned with company policies and terms.
  5. Invoice Follow-Up and Payment: Proactively follow up with clients regarding outstanding invoices, ensuring timely payment. Communicate and coordinate with the finance department to resolve any billing discrepancies or payment issues, maintaining accurate records of payment status.
  6. Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify market opportunities, gather customer feedback, and provide insights for product enhancements and strategic decision-making.
  7. Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, analyzing key metrics, sales performance, and revenue trends. Provide accurate and timely sales data to management, enabling effective decision-making and resource allocation.
  8. Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and evolving customer needs. Attend conferences, webinars, and training sessions to enhance sales skills and knowledge of marketing SaaS tools, enabling you to be a trusted advisor to clients.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Proven Sales Experience: A track record of success in sales, preferably in the technology industry or selling SaaS solutions. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
  2. Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the technology industry, particularly marketing sector. Familiarity with marketing SaaS tools, their features, and how they benefit businesses. Awareness of industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
  3. Consultative Selling Skills: Strong ability to engage with clients, actively listen to their needs, and provide consultative guidance. Skilled in conducting needs assessments, and articulating the value proposition of SaaS tools.
  4. Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills. The capability to establish rapport, build trust, and maintain long-term relationships with clients. Effective communication and negotiation abilities to handle client interactions at various levels.
  5. Results-Oriented: A results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets. Proven ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales performance.
  6. Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with technology platforms, CRM systems, and sales tools commonly used in the industry. Comfortable with utilizing technology to enhance sales processes, productivity, and reporting.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and technical information in a clear and compelling manner. Proficiency in creating persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
  8. Adaptability and Resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Resilience to handle rejection, overcome obstacles, and persist in achieving sales goals. Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and embrace innovation.

 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Substantial experience in sales, with a focus on technology, software-as-a-service (SaaS), or marketing solutions. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant sales experience is desired.
  • Experience selling SaaS products, particularly in the marketing or advertising space, is highly advantageous. Familiarity with marketing SaaS tools, their functionalities, and their benefits to businesses is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in consultative selling, where the sales approach is focused on understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools commonly used in the industry to manage and track sales activities and customer relationships.

Job requirements 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree  in the areas of: Management, Finance/Economic, Marketing, Computer science, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical teams;
  • Prior experience in Customer Support or Customer Experience related fields;
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Should be willing to interact with users over calls/email/in-person depending on the business need.
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word PowerPoint.

  • Experience working with product and tech teams, collaborating with Dev, Business Analyst, Infrastructure, and Design teams;
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools.
  • Having worked with product and technology teams and integrating a SaaS product
